Suspicious Activity In The Workplace

(Reading Time: 01:13)
"It's suspicious, right?"

"I guess."

"You don't think so?"

"It's definitely weird."

"Suspicious."

"What's suspicious is that you've been watching this woman all day. People always say to me, they say, 'So do you guys just sit around and spy on us with those cameras all day?' I always say, 'No. We're looking at everything in general. There's too much going on for us to pay attention to specific people.' I guess I should have said, 'Unless Ron's on duty. He'll watch a single woman all day and write down all her movements.'"

"Because those movements are suspicious!"

"She probably just has OCD or something."

"Then why hasn't she done it before."

"So youv'e watched her before? You really are a stalker."

"I am not!"

"Well, she's coming past camera 3 right now, which means she'll pass by here soon. This is your chance to confront her and be a hero security guard who saves the company from such a menace."

A woman walks briskly into the lobby.

"Um, excuse me."

"Yes."

"I hate to bring this up, but I'm kind of supposed to investigate suspicious activity in the workplace."

"Okay."

"You were behaving strangely today. Is there any reason for that?"

"What do you mean strangely."

"Well, before your 10 AM meeting you walked around the conference table three times when no one else was in the room. You paced rapidly while on the phone around 11:45. At one point you were in the elevator alone and started jogging in place. At another point you took the stairs to go from the second floor to the third floor, but instead of going directly you walked all the way up to the tenth floor then back down again."

"Oh, that." She raises her wrist and reveals a thick, rubber bracelet. "I just got one of these fitness trackers. Every step counts!"

"You know we have a gym, right."

The woman glares at him then stomps out of the building.

"Good work, Ron. I feel much safer now."
